In the summer of 2004, Drennan Refrigeration began the design of an industrial ammonia refrigeration system for a brand new Piller’s sausage manufacturing plant. This design included 3 – 200 hp ammonia screw compressors and 25 glycol-cooling coils servicing the entire production area. Two deep freezers cooled with freon units were also required to store finished product prior to shipping. This project was completed in Spring 2005 and the plant is currently in full production.
